STROLL-OFF COMPETITION GUIDELINES
Hosted by Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. Eastern Region
The Eastern Region stroll-off competition will showcase teams demonstrating their agility, creativity, and understanding of rhythm and dance as they show precision, synchronization, originality, and showmanship.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Team must be brothers only.
2. Each participant must be a member of Iota Phi Theta- Eastern Region.
3. Team must register by Friday, March 26, 2021

GUIDELINES
● All stroll teams must have a uniform or dress that is tasteful and becoming to Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc.
● All music is to be free from explicit, profane, and vulgar lyrics.
● Profane or vulgar gestures and movements during the stroll will lead to immediate disqualification. Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. Eastern Region reserves the right to disqualify teams with inappropriate uniforms, routines including vulgar language, or for any other reason, it deems necessary.
ROUND 1: HYPE/PARTY ROUND
Your entire routine cannot exceed 5 minutes, including an introduction and exit. One point will be deducted for every minute that exceeds the allotted 5 minutes.
ROUND 2: SIGNATURE STROLL
The entire routine cannot exceed four (4) minutes. One point will be deducted for every minute that exceeds the allotted 4 minutes.
Round 2 routine must include at least one (1) song from the 1990s.
ROUND 3: BATTLE ROYALE
Engage the crowd with an intense heart filled routine. In keeping Round one and round two, make sure you include any music during any decade.

JUDGING CRITERIA
All performances will be judged on the following criteria:
Overall Presentation (5 points)
Show’s Theme (5 points)
Precision (5 points)
Difficulty (5 points)
Uniform/Appearance (5 points)
Synchronization (5 points)
Crowd Participation (5 points)
Each round will be judged with a total of 35 points
The three teams that get the highest score from round 1 and 2 will advance to the Battle Royale. Each round will be judged for a total of 35 points.
PRIZES
Iota Battle Royale Winners:
First Place: $555 + Trophy
Second Place: $300 + Plaque
Third Place: Plaque
Registration will close on Friday, March 26, 2021
Videos must be submitted by Friday, April 9, 2021

Video presentation Requirements
● Introduction of Chapter and each stroll member
● Professional quality recording
● Time will begin after the introduction
● No Profanity in the music selection
● Social distance is recommended
● Highly recommend COVID testing before official taping
● The sound quality of music must be clear.
● Each team must submit three separate videos to correlate with each round.
